Beach City Baseball Academy will be hosting team Kitasuna from Japan and the Canada National Team for the 7th annual International 12 and Under baseball tournament, which will take place in El Segundo and Manhattan Beach, Calif. Friday March 30th, 2018 and Saturday March 31st, 2018.

For many years, Beach City Baseball Academy has been the proud Sponsor of the Kitasuna Baseball Academy of Tokyo. Kitasuna is a Championship Little League Academy that has a long-standing tradition of victories including winning the 2015 and 2017 Little League World Series. They have proven to enhance the experience at the Little League World Series through fierce competition, and admirable sportsmanship. with a long history of success; this includes five trips to the Little League World Series in Williamsport. (Three of which included World Champion victory.)

This is the first year that we will have a team from Canada.  The Little Mountain LL is the first Chartered Little League outside of the United States. Established in 1951 Little Mountain has a rich history of providing Little League for the Children and Families in central part of Vancouver; Canada’s 2010 Winter Olympic City. Being one of Canada’s largest Little Leagues with 900+ players, Little Mountain provides baseball development for boys and girls from 4-12 years of age and also provide a Challenger baseball opportunity for children and youth.

Little Mountain has had three Teams make it to Williamsport. Our 1953 Team (Jaycee Nationals) earned a birth through the North West United States Playdowns; and in 2010, Little Mountain won the Canadian Championships earning it’s place to be Team Canada in Wiliamsport. Little Mountain Challenger Team was invited and attended Williamsport being the first International Challenger entry at the majors Little League World Series.

Up to 16 local Southern California teams will participate in the cross-cultural tournament which is designed to provide local children with an opportunity to gain global experience by meeting and competing with dynamic coaching organizations and disciplined teams that brings a very unique perspective to training, fitness and team work.

We are thrilled to be able to continue this support through this sponsorship and are excited to give another group of 30 children, who otherwise would not be able participate, the opportunity to come to Los Angeles; an experience that we hope will change their lives while uniting the global community. Please let us know if you have an interest in participating in hosting any of these kids in your homes for a week. They should have a son between the ages of 10-13 who enjoys baseball and live close to El Segundo. You can email us at for more information.
